I had no idea there was that much of a difference between those. 1500, 2500, and 3500HD, I'm guessing?

The little Canyon, the middle is a 1500, and the big one is an HD the 2500/3500.

There's a GMC variant of the Canyon?

I did not realize the HDs were that much bigger than the 1500s.

There is a definite size difference between the 1500 and Canyon though. People who say otherwise need their eyes checked.

Jake, Cannot Into Names.

I'm surprised at how much difference there is between them. I much prefer the Colorado. Much less chrome.

Jeez! The Canyon/Colorado measure out very close to the specs of my 95 F-150.

That's a big small truck.

is a lot bigger than a last gen Canyon tho. 5 inches longer (extra cab to extra cab), 4 inches wider, and almost a full ten inches taller 4x4 to 4x4. the new one does have 3.5 inches more ground clearance tho.

NO MIDSIZED TRUCKS ARE AS BIG AS MONSTER TRUCKS!

/everyone who hasn't actually noticed that midsized trucks are midsized.

HD's more of a height difference, plus the shortest bed available is a 6' on the HD. Also, wait until you see a Canyon/Colorado parked bumper to bumper to a Sierra/Silverado, camera angles can make a big difference.

I saw a line of Colorados and Silverados parked next to each other at the Chevy dealer Saturday. There is certainly a size difference.

There is a size difference, but not enough. I mean I get that it's a sales tactic, and it will sell because of it, but it's just too big to be a mid size truck. It's huge. There is only a 4 inch length difference, why? Why not cough up a little bit more money for a more powerful truck that gets nearly the same MPG and have more overall capability?

Because that 4 inch length difference could be the difference between it fitting in a garage or not. That 4 inch length difference makes it easier to park. That 4 inch length difference could be the difference between it fitting in a parking spot or not. Same could be said for every other dimension.

I'm not getting into it with you, Mr. Against everything GM does.

Why not just make the next gen Sierra/Silverado smaller? Then actually make a mid-size truck. Fitting in a parking spot wouldn't be a problem then. I blame Toyota for that, for creating the abomination that is the current generation Tundra. That is when trucks really exploded in size. This isn't just a GM thing, this a whole market thing. What is the point of any of this?
